Privacy Policy
Effective / last updated: 2026-06-25
GolfCalc does not send or store your calculation inputs on any server. All calculations run entirely in your browser.
However, advertising and analytics services such as Google AdSense may use cookies to collect non-personally-identifiable information.
1. Information we collect and do not collect
GolfCalc has no sign-up process and does not request or collect directly identifying information such as your name or contact details. The scores, course ratings, distances, and other values you enter into the calculators are used only within your browser, disappear automatically, and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
However, the following information may be generated and collected automatically as you use the website:
- Access IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and visit time
- Pages visited, referring page (referrer), and device information
- Anonymous identifiers via cookies and similar technologies
2. Use of cookies
GolfCalc may use cookies to provide the service and to display ads. A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser to remember your visits and settings.
You can refuse or delete cookies in your web browser settings. Note that blocking cookies may limit some features and ad personalization. Cookie settings can be changed in the settings menu of each browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, etc.).
3. Google AdSense and third-party advertising
GolfCalc serves ads through Google AdSense. Google and other third-party ad vendors may use cookies to serve personalized ads based on your prior visits.
- Google uses advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings.
- You can review and opt out of third-party vendor cookie use at www.aboutads.info.
- You can learn how Google handles data on the How Google uses data from sites that use our services page.
4. Analytics tools
We may use web analytics tools such as Google Analytics to improve the service. These tools use cookies to collect anonymized statistics such as pages visited and time on site, and do not identify any specific individual.
5. Data retention and third-party sharing
Because GolfCalc does not directly collect or store your personal information, no separate retention period applies. Automatically collected access information and cookie data are processed and retained according to the policies of the relevant service providers, such as Google. Except where required by law, we do not sell or arbitrarily provide user information to third parties.
6. Your rights
You have the right to refuse information collection through your browser cookie settings, and you can disable personalized ads in Google Ads Settings. For inquiries about data handling, please use the contact below.
7. Children's privacy
GolfCalc is not primarily directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect children's personal information.
8. Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be revised in line with legal or service changes, and any changes will be posted on this page. We update the effective date for material changes.
